The newest 4X strategy game in the Master of Orion series has left Early Access behind.
Over the past several months, Wargaming has been hard at work putting player feedback into effect during Master of Orion’s Early Access phase. Now, over six months later, the game is finally ready to drop the Early Access tag and head off into the black unknown. This means that customers who weren’t willing to drop the $49.99 to pick up the Master of Orion Collector’s Edition are now in luck, as the Standard Edition, which can be purchased for just $29.99, is now available on both Steam and GOG.
Users should be aware; the Standard Edition of the game only includes the game’s ten basic races. You’ll need to purchase the Collector’s Edition to get the war-torn Terran Khanate race. You can learn more about the differences between the game’s two versions by checking out our full comparison here.
To help celebrate this momentous occasion, Wargaming has released an exciting new Master of Orion trailer which follows humanity as they make their way out of the atmosphere, their eyes trained on the stars. The trailer in question isn’t very long, but the production value and voice work put into it almost make you feel as though you’re watching a movie trailer, which we’re certainly not upset about!
Master of Orion is now freely available, and can be purchased directly from Steam or GOG. The game is available in two distinctly different editions, the Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition. To learn more about Master of Orion, and the hard work that Wargaming has put into the series’ reboot, please head over to the official Master of Orion website where you can interact with other fans of the series by posting on the forums.
